Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Set all FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461 Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel to SHUTOFF.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

1) 180E7 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2
2) 180E22 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
3) 180H8 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1

Open the access door 315A (Ref 06-09-05/201).

Open the ceiling panels to get access to the elevator forward quadrant and the body cable turnbuckles if it is necessary.
NOTE: Adjust the turnbuckles only if the adjustment on the
____ turnbuckles aft of the pressure bulkhead is not sufficient.

Install the rig pin E-1 (Fig. 401).

Remove the Elevator Aft Quadrant

Use the holding tool to do these steps (Fig. 401):
(a)
Prevent the movement of the tension regulator (2).
(b)
Loosen the cable turnbuckles without the movement of regulator arms.

Loosen the these body cables at the aft turnbuckles (Fig. 402):
(a)
Release the tension equally in cables E1A and E1B.
(b)
Release the tension equally in cables E2A and E2B.

Disconnect the cables from the upper aft quadrant (10) and the lower aft quadrant (9) (Fig. 402).
(a)
Do not let the cables become loose after you disconnect them.
(b)
If it is necessary, tag the cables to make the installation easier.
(4)
Hold the elevator aft quadrant (4).
