Disconnect these electrical connectors DB188A and DB188E or DB189A and DB189E from the solenoid valve assemblies (8).

Remove the solenoid valve assembly (8) from the STCM:
(a)
Remove the screw (6) and the washer (7).
(b)
Remove the solenoid valve assembly (8) from the STCM.
(c)
Remove the gasket plate (10) from the solenoid valve assembly (8).
(d)
Discard the gasket plate (10).
(e)
Remove the O-ring (9) from the solenoid valve assembly (8).

Install the Solenoid Valve Assembly

(1)
Install the solenoid valve assembly (8) on the STCM:
(a)
Apply a thin layer of the assembly lube MCS253 to two sides of the gasket plate (10).
(b)
Lubricate the O-ring (9) with assembly lube MCS352.
(c)
Install the O-ring (9) on the solenoid valve assembly (8).
(d)
Install the solenoid valve assembly (8) on the STCM (1).
(e)
Install the screws (6) and the washers (7) on the solenoid valve assembly (8).
(f)
Tighten the screws (6) to 50-70 pound-inches.
