STABILIZER TRIM CONTROL MODULE - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This procedure has 14 tasks. The tasks are for the removal, the installation, and the operational tests of the stabilizer trim control module (STCM) and its components. The procedure has these parts:

The removal of the STCM
(2)
The installation of the replacement STCM
(3)
An operational test of the STCM
(4)
The removal of the STCM pressure switch
(5)
The installation of the replacement pressure switch
(6)
The removal of the STCM solenoid valves assembly
(7)
The installation of the replacement solenoid valves assembly
(8)
The removal of the STCM motor operated shutoff valve (which is referred to as the "shutoff valve")
(9)
The installation of the replacement shutoff valve
(10)
An operational test of the shutoff valve
(11)
The removal of the STCM shutoff valve electric motor (which is referred to as the "electric motor")
(12)
The installation of the replacement electric motor
(13)
The removal of the STCM filter screen
(14)
The installation of the replacement filter screen.
B.
The STCM gives trim direction, and fast or slow rate control to the stabilizer trim actuator assembly. The removal and installation procedure is the same for the left or the right STCM.
