 G. Install the Inboard Elevator PCP
 S 422-025
 (1)  
Install the inboard elevator PCP:

 (a)  
Lift the inboard elevator PCP into the position between the horizontal stabilizer and the inboard elevator.

 (b)  
Align the PCP trunnion with the stabilizer rear spar.

 (c)  
Install the washers (13) and the bolts (12).

 (d)  
Apply a thin layer of the sealant on the bolts .

 (e)  
Use the torque wrench adapter, MIT65B80550, to tighten all four bolts (12) to 2200-2400 pound-inches.


 NOTE: The index pin on the structure must engage in the
____ bottom of the trunnion before you tighten the bolts.
 (f)  Remove the sling cradle, sling, fishpole hoist, and the bars.

 (2)  
Remove the caps from the hydraulic lines and ports.

 (3)  
Apply the skydrol assembly lube to the hydraulic fittings before the installation.

 (4)  
Connect the hydraulic lines to the inboard elevator PCP.

 (5)
Connect the actuator (9) to the inboard elevator actuator lug (8):

 (a)  
Use the holding tool to move the elevator and engage the elevator lug with the actuator until they are aligned.

 (b)  
Apply a thin layer of grease on the bushing (17) and the bolt (16).

 (c)  
Install the bushing (17) in the actuator lug.

 (d)  
Install the bolt (16), outer nut (18), washer (19), and inner nut (20) with the bolt head outboard (Fig. 202).

 (e)  
Use the spanner wrench adapter (ST2580-267-24 or ST2580-267-32) to do these steps: 1) Tighten the outer nut (18) to 1700-1800 pound-inches plus


 run-on torque. 2) Tighten the inner nut (20) to 1500-1600 pound-inches plus run-on torque.
 NOTE: Do not tighten the outer nut again after you
____ tightened the inner nut.
 (f)  Remove the holding tool TE65B00184.

 (6)  
Attach the input control rod:

 (a)  
Apply a thin layer of grease on the special bonded bolt (1).

 (b)  Align the input control rod (2) and the bellcrank (6).
 NOTE: Do not change the adjustment of the input control rod
____ while you disconnect it.
 (c)  
Install the special bonded bolt (1) (with the bolt head up) through the input control rod and the bellcrank.

 (d)  
Tighten the special bonded bolt (1) to 80-100 pound-inches.

 (e)  
Install the washer (5), the nut (4).

 (f)  
Tighten the nut (4) to 30-40 pound-inches.

 (g)  
Do not tighten the special bonded bolt (1) again.

 (7)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P180, DC Power Distribution Panel
 1) 180E7, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2
 2) 180E22, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
 3) 180H8, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1
 4) 180H23, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 3


 (b)  
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7E7, L STAB TRIM S/O VLV 2) 7E20, R STAB TRIM S/O VLV

 (8)
Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches on the control stand to ON.

 (9)  
Set all FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461, Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel in NORM.

 (10)
 If the adjustment of the input control rod changed while you disconnected the rod, adjust the inboard elevator PCP (Ref paragraph 4.).
