Do these steps to install the inboard elevator PCP filter:
(a)
Apply skydrol assembly lube on the packing (6), backup rings (5), and the fitting threads before the installation.
(b)
Install the new packing and backup rings on the clean filter element (1).
(c)
Install the filter element into the manifold hole.
(d)
Apply skydrol assembly lube on the packing (4), backup rings (3), and the threads of the filter cap (2).
(e)
Install the new packing and backup rings on the filter cap.
(f)
Attach the filter cap into the manifold assembly and tighten it to 400-450 pound-inches.
(g)
Apply a thin layer of sealant around the filter cap.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P180, DC Power Distribution Panel
1) 180E7, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2
2) 180E22, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
3) 180H8, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1

Do an Operational Test of the Inboard Elevator PCP Filter

WARNING:_______ MOVE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE RUDDERS AND THE
ELEVATORS BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS. THE
RUDDERS AND ELEVATORS CAN MOVE QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO
PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 1 and 2 (left inboard elevator), or 3 and 4 (right inboard elevator)(AMM 29-11-00/201).

Operate the elevators until the movement is smooth and continuous.

Examine the inboard elevator PCP for a hydraulic leak.

Do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches on the control stand to ON.

INBOARD ELEVATOR POWER CONTROL PACKAGE - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task is an inspection of the power control package (PCP) to inboard elevator attachment fittings. The second task is an inspection of the inboard elevator control pushrods.
B. In the first task you measure the inner or outer diameter of the parts which attach the PCP to the attachment fittings. The parts include bearings, bushings and bolts.
