(c)
Select the stabilizer in the airplane nose down (stabilizer leading edge up) direction by moving either the STAB TRIM switches on captain's or first officer's control wheel upwards. Movement continues while switch selection is maintained until terminated by the action of the airplane nose down manual-electric limit switch. Movement may be arrested before limit switch operation by releasing the STAB TRIM switch.
NOTE: Both segments of the switch must be selected in the same
____ direction to activate the stabilizer. With only one segment selected, or with segments displaced in opposite directions, the stabilizer remains stationary. If the captain's and first officer's STAB TRIM switches are inadvertently selected in opposite directions simultaneously, the stabilizer remains stationary. No adverse effects can result from this selection.
(d)
Select the stabilizer in the airplane nose up (stabilizer leading edge down) direction by moving either STAB TRIM switches on captain's or first officer's control wheel downwards. Movement continues while switch selection is maintained until terminated by the action of the airplane nose up manual-electric limit switch incorporated within the SRM. Movement may be arrested by releasing the STAB TRIM switches.
(3)
Release the pressure in hydraulic systems No. 2 and/or 3 if no longer required (Ref 29-11-00/201).
(4)
Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00/201).
