Measure the control column move from the neutral position. 1) Adjust the protractor to the center. 2) Make a record of the angle on the protractor and subtract
it from the neutral angle. 3) Make sure the difference is 3.7-5.5 degrees.

Put the control column to the neutral position.

Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches to CUTOUT.

Do a test of the left hydraulic brake:
(a)
Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch on the control stand to ON.
(b)
Set the STAB TRIM 2 switch to CUTOUT.
(c)
Push the manual brake bypass valve switch (which is referred to as the "bypass valve switch") on the left stabilizer trim control module (STCM). 1) Hold the bypass valve switch in this position. 2) Hold the STAB TRIM ALTN switches on the control stand to
the APL NOSE UP position for ten seconds. 3) Make sure that there is no movement of the stabilizer ballscrew. 4) Release the bypass valve switch.
(d)
Hold the STAB TRIM ALTN switches to the APL NOSE DN position for five seconds. 1) Make sure the stabilizer position indicators move to APL
NOSE DN.
(e)
Hold the STAB TRIM ALTN switches to the APL NOSE UP position for five seconds. 1) Make sure the stabilizer position indicators move to APL
NOSE UP.
(f)
Push the bypass valve switch on the left STCM. 1) Hold the bypass valve switch in this position. 2) Hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain's control wheel
to the NOSE UP position for ten seconds. 3) Make sure that there is no movement of the stabilizer ballscrew. 4) Release the bypass valve switch.
(g)
Hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain's control wheel to the NOSE DN position for five seconds. 1) Make sure the stabilizer position indicators move to APL
NOSE DN.
(h)
Hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain's control wheel to the NOSE UP position for five seconds. 1) Make sure the stabilizer position indicators move to APL
