second. 3) Make sure the stabilizer moves smoothly. 4) Release the STAB TRIM switches. 5) Make sure the stabilizer stops in less than one second.

Do this check five times: 1) Hold the STAB TRIM ALTN switches on the control stand to the APL NOSE DN position for three seconds.
2) Make sure the stabilizer starts to move in less than one second.

5) Make sure the stabilizer stops in less than one second.
(o) Put the STAB TRIM switches on the first officer's control wheel to NOSE UP and then quickly to NOSE DN.
NOTE: This will let the stabilizer move at the full speed
____ before it changes direction.
1) When the switch position changes, make sure the stabilizer moves in the opposite direction in less than one second. 2) Make sure the stabilizer operates smoothly.
G. Do a Test for the Travel Limits of the Captain's Stabilizer Trim with the Landing Gear Retraction Simulated

Do a test for the travel limits of the captain's stabilizer trim with the landing gear retraction simulated:
(a)
Set the STAB TRIM 2 switch to CUTOUT.
(b)
Hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain's control wheel to the NOSE UP until the stabilizer stops.
(c)
Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch to CUTOUT.
(d)
Make sure the "B" dimension is 26.91 |0.60 inches
(683.5 |15.2 millimeters).
(e)
Make sure the stabilizer position indicators show 11.60 | 0.25 units of trim.
(f)
Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch to ON.
(g)
Hold the STAB TRIM ALTN switches to the APL NOSE UP position until the stabilizer stops.
(h)
Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch to CUTOUT.
