 (1) Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 CAUTION: DO NOT PRESSURIZE THE AUXILIARY PITOT SYSTEM TO MORE THAN 4.00
_______ PSIG (OR 395 KNOTS). MAKE SURE THE PRESSURE CHANGE IS LESS THAN 5000 FEET (OR 300 KNOTS IAS) FOR EACH MINUTE FOR THE PITOT SYSTEM. THESE ARE TO PREVENT THE DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATOR FEEL COMPUTER WHICH IS A VERY EASILY DAMAGED INSTRUMENT.
 (2) Pressurize the auxiliary pitot static systems No. 1 and No. 2 to
 1.00 +1.00/-0.00 psi (or 204 +80/-0 knots IAS. Note: reference static pressure to ambient pressure.)(AMM 34-11-00/201).
 NOTE: This is to make sure the control column returns to the
____ center detent after movement as well to provide increased column force to simulate higher airspeeds.

 WARNING: MOVE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE RUDDERS AND THE
_______ ELEVATORS BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS. THE RUDDERS AND THE ELEVATORS CAN MOVE QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Make sure that the stabilizer is at 5 units of trim.

Do the Elevator Feel Unit Operational Test


 S 712-036
 (1)  
Move the control column from the center detent slowly to the full aft position and make sure these conditions occur:

 (a)  
The force increases while the control column moves away from the neutral position.

 (b)  
The breakout force is approximately 8.6 pounds.

 (c)  
The force is at 72-106 pounds when the control column is in the aft position.

 (2)  
Let the control column go back to the neutral position.

 (3)  
Hold the STAB TRIM ALTN switches on the control stand to the APL NOSE UP position.

Move the control column slowly to the full aft position and make sure these conditions occur:

 (a)  
Make sure that the breakout force is approximately 8.6 pounds.


 NOTE: The force increases at a rate that is less than the rate

 in step (1).

 (b)  
The force is at 40-55 pounds when the control column is at the full aft position.

 (5)  
Examine the hydraulic line connections for leaks.

Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches on control stand to set the horizontal stabilizer to the neutral rig position (3 units of trim).
