 2)  7E20, R STAB TRIM S/O VLV

 (6)  Do this task:  "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (7)  Set all FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461, Pilots'
 Overhead Maintenance Panel in SHUTOFF.

 (8)  Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  P180, DC Power Distribution Panel
 1)  180E7, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2
 2)  180E22, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
 3)  180H8, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1
 4)  180H23, ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 3
 S 012-010
 (9)  Open the access doors 312A and 315A (AMM 06-09-06/201)
 NOTE:____ Position upper lobe access ladder if used.

 (10)
 Disconnect the hydraulic lines.

 (a)
Remove the support brackets if it is necessary.

 Remove the applicable upper and lower stabilizer-to-body seal fairings.

 (12)
 Remove the access panel 334GB or 344GB (AMM 06-09-06/201).

 S 492-016

 (13)
 Use the check tool to lift the stabilizer until there is no load on the stabilizer hinges.

 (a)
Install the jack assemblies to the left and right stabilizer.

 (b)  
Connect the hoses from the hydraulic pump assembly to the two jack assemblies.

 (c)  
Install the dial indicator.

 (d)  
Set the dial indicator to zero.

 (e)  
Close the release valve on the hydraulic pump assemby.

 (f)  
Set the L.H. JACK and R.H. JACK control valves to the RAISE/LOWER position.

 (g)  
Apply hydraulic pressure until dial indicator does not indicate zero.

 (h)  
Set the L.H. JACK and R.H. JACK control valve to the OFF position.

 Remove the pivot pins (7 and 8):

 (a)  
Remove the internal lockbolt nut (10), washer (11), cotter pin (21), internal lockbolt (9), and antirotation plate (12).

 (b)  
Loosen the inner nut (20) but make sure you do not loosen the adjustment screw (6).

 (c)  
Remove the inner nut (20).

 (d)  
Move the inner pivot pin (8) approximately 4 inches inboard.

 (e)  
Remove the bolt (23) and the outer nut (22).


 WARNING: HOLD THE REPLACEMENT TOOL AT THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF
_______ GRAVITY BY A CORRECT STRAP ATTACHED TO THE AIRPLANE STRUCTURE. THE TOOL WEIGHS ABOUT 20 POUNDS. IF YOU DO NOT HOLD IT IN THE CORRECT POSITION, IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (f)  
Install the replacement tool that has the attachments for the pivot pin removal (Fig. 202).

 (g)  
Make sure there is no load on the stabilizer hinges.

 (h)  
Remove the outer and inner pivot pins (7 and 8) together.


 NOTE: You cannot remove the pivot pins when there is a load on
____
 the hinge bearing.

 1)  Hit the outboard end of the puller bar lightly if it is necessary to start the removal.
