(4) Make sure that the adjustment of the actuated limit switches is necessary:
NOTE: If the actuated limit switch stops the stabilizer trim motion

correctly, you do not have to adjust the switch.
(a) If you replaced the elevator up limit switches, do a check of the actuated limit switch: 1) Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches on the control stand to
move the stabilizer to the airplane nose down limit (0.25 units of trim). 2) Hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain's control wheel
to the NOSE UP position. 3) While the stabilizer move, push the control column forward. 4) Make sure that the actuated limit switch (not the
stabilizer trim limit switch) stops the stabilizer.
NOTE: The stabilizer trim limit switches operate at
____ 14.75|0.25 and 0.25|0.15 units of trim.
(b) If you replaced the elevator down limit switches, do a check of the actuated limit switch: 1) Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches to move the stabilizer to
the airplane nose up limit (14.75 units of trim). 2) Hold the STAB TRIM switches to NOSE DN. 3) While the stabilizer moves, pull the control column aft. 4) Make sure the actuated limit switch (not the stabilizer
trim limit switch) stops the stabilizer.
NOTE: The stabilizer trim limit switches operate at
____ 14.75|0.25 and 0.25|0.25 units of trim.

(5) If the hydraulic power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

If the electrical power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Adjust the Actuated Limit Switches
NOTE: Adjust the actuated limit switches only if they did not stop the
____ stabilizer or if you moved the vernier bracket. Do not move the vernier bracket unless the adjustment is necessary.

(1)
Install the rig pin E-1 at the elevator forward quadrant.

(2)
Adjust the actuated limit switch:
(a)
Remove the vernier adjustment bolt from the mounting bracket.
(b)
Loosen the four attachment bolts on the mounting bracket.
(c)
Move the mounting brackets laterally on the support bracket until dimension A is equal to dimension B +/- 0.043 inch (+/- 1.09 millimeters)
(d)
Align one set of the vernier adjustment holes in the mounting bracket and the support bracket.
(e)
Install the adjustment bolt of the mounting bracket through the vernier adjustment holes in the mounting and the support brackets.
(f)
Install the washer and the nut.
(g)
Tighten the adjustment bolt.
(h)
Tighten the four attachment bolts of the mounting bracket.
