Install the filter element into the manifold hole.
(d)
Install the new packing (5) and backup ring (4) on the filter cap (6).
(e)
Install the filter cap into the manifold assembly and tighten it to 400-450 pound-inches.
(f)
Apply a thin layer of sealant around the filter cap.

(1) Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

_______ THE ELEVATORS BEFORE YOU TURN THE HYDRAULIC POWER ON. THE RUDDERS OR THE ELEVATORS WILL MOVE QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Pressurize the hydraulic system No. 1 (left outboard elevator), or No. 4 (right outboard elevator)(AMM 29-11-00/201).

Move the elevator up and down until the movement is smooth and continuous.
(4)
Examine the outboard elevator PCP for hydraulic leakage.
(5)
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

OUTBOARD ELEVATOR POWER CONTROL PACKAGE - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure has one task. The task is an inspection of the power control package (PCP) for the outboard elevator.
B. In this procedure you measure the inner or outer diameter of the parts which attach the PCP actuator to the attachment fitting. The parts include bearing, bolts and bushings.
C. You must disassemble the PCP actuator to the attachment fitting to do this procedure.
NOTE: Missing Power Control Package, rod end and trunnion bearing
____ dust seals are not reasons for removing the control package. Seals should be replaced at convenience on overhaul. The bearings will generate a small amount of dark colored powder which may be observed at the edge of the bearing lines. This powder is the normal product of the self lubricating liner.
