A. General
(1)
This task is an operational test of the replacement STCM. To do this test, it is necessary to have the stabilizer position indicating system and the elevator control system adjusted.

Do a Test of the STCM
S 712-022
(1)
Use the STAB TRIM switches to do this test of the STCM:
(a)
Move the STAB TRIM switches on the captain's control wheel slowly forward until the motor operates.
(b)
Move the STAB TRIM switches slowly aft to move the stabilizer to the opposite direction.
(c)
Make sure the stabilizer position indicator on the control stand starts, operates and stops smoothly.
(d)
Move the STAB TRIM switches quickly from the stop to stop three times.
(e)
Make sure that the stabilizer starts smoothly in one second.
(f)
Make sure the stabilizer operates and stops smoothly.
