NO CLEARANCE IS PERMITTED AFTER YOU SWAGE. USE A 69-38919 SLEEVE OR AN EQUIVALENT WHEN YOU REPLACE
THE BEARING.
THIS IS A CLAMP-UP JOINT. THERE IS NO CLEARANCE AFTER YOU TIGHTEN THE BOLT.
REPLACE THE BUSHING. THE MAXIMUM OVERSIZE HOLE IS 0.5003.
THE MAXIMUM OVERSIZE HOLE IS 1.0634.

Measure the parts for worn areas:
(a)
Remove the parts.
(b)
Use a micrometer or a vernier caliper to measure the parts.
(c)
Compare the dimensions you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 602.
(d)
Replace the parts that are not in the tolerance.
(e)
Install the parts.

Assemble the Inboard Elevator Control Pushrods

Align the crank with holes in the support bracket.

Make sure that the bearing is installed in the support brackets.

Apply corrosion preventive compound to the shank and the boltheads (15 and 20).

Assemble the inboard elevator control pushrods.
(a)
Install the bolt (15), the washers (16 and 18), and the nut (19).
(b)
Tighten the nut (19) to 60-80 pound-inches
(c)
Install the collar (17).
NOTE: Do not tighten the nut (19) again.

(d) Align the inboard elevator control pushrods with the crank.
NOTE: Do not change the adjustment of the input control rod

when you disconnect it.
