 CAUTION: DO NOT USE FORCE TO PUT THE DUST SEAL COVER INTO ITS
_______ POSITION OR AGAINST THE ELECTRICAL CABLE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE.
 (r)  
Install the dust seal cover (5).

 (s)  
Install the screws (15).

 (2)  
For the first officer's control column; Remove the protractor and adapter from the elevator torque tube crank.

 (3)  
For the captain's control column; Remove the rig pin E-1.

 (4)  
Do a check of the movement of the control column:

 (a)  
Move the control column forward and aft.

 (b)  
Turn the control wheel through full travel.

 (c)  
Make sure the control column is free to move.

 (d)  
Make sure the control column moves 12 degrees 30 minutes |1 degree from the neutral to the forward stop position.

 (e)  
Make sure the control column moves 25 degrees 10 minutes |2 degrees between the forward and the aft stop positions.

 H.
Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)
Remove the protractor and the adapter from the control column.

 (2)  
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P414, Power Distribution Center Panel - Left
 1) 414D8, CAPTAINS PWR SEAT

 7) 7E24, AUTO FLT WARN
 8) 7E9, MCP L
 9) 7E18, MCP R
 10) 7D7, FLT CONT CMPTR L SERVO

Set all FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461 Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel to NORM.

If the electrical power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Install the access panels.

 I.  
Do a Test of the Control Column Position Transmitter

 S 714-034
 (1)  
Examine the position transmitter for the control column through the full range:

 (a)
Push the captain's control column forward to the stop.

 1)  Make sure the COLUMN indication on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page is 11.5-13.5 degrees down.

 (b)  
Pull the captain's control column aft to the stop. 1) Make sure the COLUMN indication is 11.7-13.7 degrees up.

 (c)  
Move the control column to the neutral position.
