TAIL JACK POINT III IS PERMITTED WHEN THE LOAD IS LESS THAN
2000 POUNDS. THIS IS TO PREVENT THE POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Set all FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461, Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel in NORM.

WARNING: MOVE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE ELEVATORS BEFORE
_______ YOU SUPPLY THE HYDRAULIC POWER. THE ELEVATOR CAN MOVE QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 1 and 2 (left elevator), or 3 and 4 (right elevator)(AMM 29-11-00/201).

Pressurize No. 1 and 2 auxiliary pitot systems to 4.7 PSIG max (AMM 34-11-00/201).

Examine the elevators movement:
(a)
Move the elevators up and down until all elevators move smoothly through the full travel range.
(b)
Move the control column to the neutral detent position.

Align the trailing edges of the inboard elevators with the silver band on the index plate (Fig. 203).
