 (1)  
Do this task: "Outboard Elevator Power Control Package Removal" (AMM 27-31-08/201) to disassemble the PCP actuator to the attachment fitting.

 S 226-003

 (2)  
Measure the parts, which connect the PCP actuator to the attachment fitting, for worn areas:

 (a)  
Remove the parts.

REPLACE THE BEARING WHEN THE TEFLON LINER HAS WORN 0.010 MAXIMUM RADIALLY.

THE LIMITS SHOWN ARE BEFORE THE BEARING RETENTION. NO CLEARANCE IS PERMITTED AFTER YOU SWAGE.
USE A 69-38919 SLEEVE OR AN EQUIVALENT WHEN YOU REPLACE THE BEARING.
THIS IS A CLAMP-UP JOINT. THERE IS NO PLAY AFTER YOU TIGHTEN THE BOLT.
REPLACE THE BEARING IF IT DOES NOT TURN FREELY.

THE SURFACE IS BONDED. IF THE BOND BECOMES LOOSE, BOND THE SURFACES PER BMS 5-29.

 (b)  
Use a micrometer or a vernier caliper to measure the parts.

 (c)  
Compare the dimensions you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601.

 (d)  
Replace the parts that are not in the tolerance.
