 7)  Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the P180 DC Power Distribution Panel: a) 180E7 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2 b) 180E22 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4 c) 180H8 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1 d) 180H23 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 3
 8) Set all the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461 Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel to NORM. 9) If it is necessary; continue with the close adjustment.
 (d)  Tighten the checknuts to 200-300 pound-inches.

Make sure the adjustable end of the input rod of the outboard elevator PCP is not extended more than the limits (Fig. 504).

Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches on the control stand to ON.

 (1)  
Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches on the P8 control stand to set the stabilizer to 0.00 degrees stabilizer leading edge up. Set dimension "B" on the stabilizer jack screw to 7.42 +/- .03 inches. (AMM 27-41-00/201)

 (a)  
Make sure the stabilizer trim position indicators on the P8 control stand shows 3.00 units of trim.

 (b) Make sure the B dimension on the stabilizer jackscrew is
 7.42 +/- 0.05 inches.

Do a check of the feel computer adjustment:

 (a)  
Try to install the rig pin E-5 through the input arm into the feel computer. 1) If you cannot easily install the rig pin, adjust the input


 rod.

Adjust the elevator feel computer input rod:

 (a)  
Set all the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461 Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel in SHUTOFF.

 (b)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 1)  P180 DC Power Distribution Panel a) 180E7 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2 b) 180E22 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4 c) 180H8 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1 d) 180H23 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 3

 (c)  
Disconnect the input rod from the input arm of the feel computer.

 (d)  
Install the rig pin E-5.

 (e)  
Loosen the checknut on the adjustable end of the input rod.

 (f)  
Adjust the rod end until you can install the rod attachment bolt easily through the input arm and the rod end.

 (g)  
Install the bolt, washer and nut to connect the input rod to the input arm.

 (h)  
Tighten the nut.

 (i)  
Make sure the rod end extends a minimum of half of the distance across the safety hole in the rod.

 (j)  
Tighten the checknut on the rod end.

 (k)  
Remove the rig pin E-5.
