Open the access door 315A (Ref 06-09-05/201).

Open the ceiling panels to get access to the elevator forward quadrant and body cable turnbuckles if it is necessary.
NOTE: Adjust the turnbuckles only if the adjustment on the
____ turnbuckles aft of the pressure bulkhead is not sufficient.
F. Remove the Elevator Forward Quadrant

Install the rig pin E-2 at the elevator aft quadrant.

For the left elevator forward quadrant; Install the holding tool.
(a)
Make sure the tension regulator (2) does not move.
(b)
Loosen the cable turnbuckles without the movement of the regulator arms.

Loosen the body cables at the aft turnbuckles:
(a)
Release the tension equally in cables E1A and E1B for the left elevator forward quadrant.
(b)
Release the tension equally in cables E2A and E2B for the right elevator forward quadrant.
