 S 862-023
 (1)  
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
Set the STAB TRIM 2 switch on the control stand to CUTOUT and attach DO-NOT-MOVE tag.

 (3)  
Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch to ON.

 (4)  
Do this task to pressurize the hydraulic system No. 3: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (5)  
Open the access door 312A (AMM 06-09-05/201).

Make sure that a person in the 48 section can hear you in the control cabin.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
_______ HORIZONTAL STABILIZER CONTROL SURFACES BEFORE YOU MOVE THE STABILIZER. A MOVEMENT OF THE STABILIZER CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (7)  
Make sure the "B" dimension agrees with the units of trim on the stabilizer position indicator:

 (a)  
Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches on the control stand to move the stabilizer to the necessary position.

 (b)  
Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch to CUTOUT and attach DO-NOT-MOVE tag.

 (c)  
Measure the "B" dimension.

 (d)
