Supply hydraulic power (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Set the rudder to the neutral position with the rudder trim switch on the control stand.

Set the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461, Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel to SHUTOFF.

Make sure that the four VALVE CLOSED lights come on.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7D16, RUDDER TRIM CONT

 (b)  
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6J19, RUDDER TRIM IND

Remove the two fasteners that connect the rudder trim indicator to the aileron and rudder trim control module.

Remove the rudder trim indicator:

 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector DN308.

 (b)  
Remove the rudder trim indicator from the aileron and rudder trim control module.

Install the rudder trim indicator:

 (a)  
Connect the electrical connector DN308.

 (b)  
Install the rudder trim indicator to the aileron and trim control module with the two fasteners.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6J19, RUDDER TRIM IND

 (b)  
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7D16, RUDDER TRIM CONT

 (3)  Set the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461, Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel to NORM.

 (4)  S 864-009Make sure the rudder trim indicator is in the null position: (a) Turn the rudder trim switch until the rudder trailing edge is within the width of the index groove. (b) Alternately tap the left and right pedals lightly to "seat" the feel cam roller in its detent. (c) Make sure the rudder trim indicator is at the zero position.
 (5)  S 824-011If the rudder trim indicator is not at the null position, adjust the rudder trim indicator: (a) Set the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461, Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel to SHUTOFF. (b) Remove the two fasteners that attach the rudder trim indicator with the aileron and rudder trim control module.
