H. Do the Elevator Forward Quadrant Operational Test

(1)
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P180 DC Power Distribution Panel
1) 180E7 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2
2) 180E22 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
3) 180H8 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1
4) 180H23 ELEV RUD VLV SYS 3

(3) Set all FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461 Pilots' Overhead Maintenace Panel to NORM.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4)
Do this task to pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Operate the control column through the full travel.
(a)
Make sure the EICAS flight controls status page shows the elevator in the full travel position.
I.
Put the Airplane to its Usual Condition
(1)
Close the access door 315A (Ref 06-09-05/201).
(2)
Install the ceiling panels.

If the hydraulic power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

ELEVATOR AFT QUADRANT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the elevator aft quadrant. The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The preparation for the removal of the elevator aft quadrant
(2)
The removal of the elevator aft quadrant
(3)
The installation of the replacement elevator aft quadrant
(4)
The adjustment of the elevator aft quadrant
(5)
The operational test of the elevator aft quadrant.
B.
The removal and installation procedure is the same for the left or the right elevator aft quadrant.
