Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7E7, STAB TRIM L S/O VLV
2) 7E20, STAB TRIM R S/O VLV

If the hydraulic power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

9. System Test - Stabilizer Trim Control System____________________________________________
A. General
(1)
This task is a system test of the stabilizer trim control system. To do this test you will operate the stabilizer trim control system. During the test, it is necessary to monitor the stabilizer position indicators for the stabilizer movement. The stabilizer position indicating system and the elevator control system must be in the satisfactory condition before you do this test.

NOTE: Control columns must not be held in the neutral during this test

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task to pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 2 and No. 3: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Do a Test of the Horizontal Stabilizer Control System

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE AIRPLANE IS NOT ON JACKS DURING THE SYSTEM TEST
_______ OF THE STABILIZER TRIM CONTROL SYSTEM. A JACK OR TAIL STAND AT TAIL JACK POINT III IS PERMITTED WHEN THE LOAD IS LESS THAN 2000 POUNDS. THIS IS TO PREVENT THE POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this operational test of the horizontal stabilizer:
(a)
Set the STAB TRIM 2 switch on the control stand to CUTOUT and the STAB TRIM 3 switch to ON.
