(e) Install the bolt (20), the nuts (21 and 22), and the washers.
(f) Tighten the nut (22) to 60-80 pound-inches.
(g) Tighten the nut (21) to 30-40 pound-inches.
NOTE:____ Do not tighten the nut (22) again.

_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(8) Do this task to pressurize the hydraulic system No. 2 or 3: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (Ref 29-11-00/201).
NOTE: The hydraulic system No. 2 is for the left inboard elevator
____ and No. 3 is for the right inboard elevator.

Make sure the inboard elevator is in |0.40 inch of the inboard elevator neutral position.

OUTBOARD ELEVATOR POWER CONTROL PACKAGE - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. There are six tasks in this procedure. There is one task each for the removal, the installation, the adjustment, and the operational test of the outboard elevator power control package (PCP). Also, there is one task each for the removal and the installation of the outboard elevator PCP filters. The procedure has these parts:

The preparation for the removal of the outboard elevator PCP
(2)
The removal of the outboard elevator PCP
(3)
The installation of the replacement PCP
(4)
The adjustment of the outboard elevator PCP
(5)
The operational test of the outboard elevator PCP
(6)
The removal of the outboard elevator PCP filter
(7)
The installation of the replacement filter
(8)
The operational test of the outboard elevator PCP filter.
B.
The removal and installation procedure is the same for the left or the right outboard elevator PCPs and their filters.
