 3)  Pressurize systems No. 2 and 3 hydraulic power (AMM 29-11-00/201).
 4)  Set the horizontal stabilizer to a B dimension of 14.21 +/-
0.05 inches. 5) Pressurize auxiliary pitot systems No. 1 and 2 to 237 +/-30 knots (1.39+/- 0.35 psi).
 6)  Move the captain's or first officer's control column from center detent slowly to the 5/6 full aft position (approximately 10 degrees).
 7)  Make sure that the force to move the control column is
 approximately 53 to 73 pounds.
 8) Release the control column.
Re-connect the right inboard PCU linkage to the aft quadrant.

 4) Depressurize system No. 2 and 3 hydraulic power

 the center detent slowly to the 5/6 full aft position (approximately 10 degrees). 7) Make sure the force to move the control column is approximately 20 to 33 pounds.

 INBOARD ELEVATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are two inboard elevators, one on each side of the airplane. The inboard elevator is attached to the rear spar of the horizontal stabilizer by four hinge points. They are controlled by the control column, and moved by a power control package (PCP).
 B.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the inboard elevator. The procedure has these parts:

The preparation for the removal of the inboard elevator

 (2)
The removal of the inboard elevator

 (3)
The installation of the replacement inboard elevator

 (4)
The adjustment of the inboard elevator

 (5)
The adjustment of the inboard elevator position transmitter

 (6)
The operational test of the inboard elevator

 (7)
The lubrication of the inboard elevator.

 C.  
The removal and installation procedure is the same for the left or the right inboard elevator.
