Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

Put the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEADING
_______ EDGE CONTROL SURFACES. THE LEADING EDGE CONTROL SURFACES WILL EXTEND. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE INBOARD FAN DUCT COWL AND THRUST REVERSERS
_______ ARE CLOSED OR REMOVED BEFORE YOU EXTEND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS. THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE FOR THE FLAPS TO EXTEND IF THE COWL AND THE THRUST REVERSERS ARE IN THE OPEN POSITION. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE ALTERNATE FLAP DRIVE UNIT IS KEPT TO A LIMIT OF
_______ 10 MINUTES OPERATION AND 25 MINUTES OFF. THIS WILL PREVENT THE ALTERNATE FLAP DRIVE UNIT FROM DAMAGE.

Put the alternate flap arm switch to ARM.

Put the alternate flap control switch to DOWN.

 (a)  
Make sure the leading edge flaps and slats fully extend.

Put the alternate flap control switch to OFF.

Make sure the leading edge flaps and slats fully retract.

Operate the leading edge flaps and slats to bleed the standby hydraulic system:

Put the alternate flap arm switch to ARM.

Put the alternate flap drive switch to DOWN.

Make sure the leading edge flaps and slats fully extend.

Put the alternate flap control switch to OFF.

 (e)  
Put the alternate flap arm switch to OFF.

 (f)
Make sure the leading edge flaps and slats fully retract.
