Procedure


 S 494-027
 (1)  
Use the wrench set to install the stall warning switch.

 S 424-007

 (2)  
Install the stall warning switch:

 (a)  
Remove the finish at the spot faced switch mounting areas on the flap control unit.

 (b)  
Put one retaining nut on the switch.

 (c)  
Install the switch in its position on the flap control unit with the retaining nut and the roller guide.

 (d)  
Install the pin to hold the roller guide in its position.

 (e)  
Tighten the retaining nut.


 NOTE: Apply final torque after you complete switch adjustment
____ with the steps given below.
 (f)  Do a check of the electrical bond between each switch and the flap control unit (SWPM 20-20-00).
 NOTE: The resistance must not be more than 0.0025 ohm.

 (g) Apply one layer of primer to the bare metal surfaces.

 (h)  Attach the switch electrical wires:
 1) Attach the switch leads to the connector.
 2) Attach the connectors to the receptacles.
 3) Install new wire bundle ties.
 4) Install the two wire bundle support clamps.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:

 (a)  
P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) LE FLAP POS IND DC

Pressurize hydraulic system B (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 (5)  
If the trailing edge flaps are extended, put the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent to retract the flaps.

Stop for two minutes with hydraulic system B pressurized and the flap control lever in the UP detent.


 NOTE:____The flap power unit can move during this time. The amount of movement can change from airplane to airplane, from a small value to a large value.

Release pressure from hydraulic system B (AMM 27-81-00/201).

Measure the X dimension which is the distance between the No. 4 ballscrew nut and the upstop (View D, Fig. 401).

Write this dimension as X1.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (10)
 Put the alternate flap arm switch to ARM.
