Do a test of the air/ground inputs to the autoslat system:
(a)
Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent.
1) Make sure that the LE FLAPS EXT light comes on after the flaps extend.
(b)
Turn the left AOA sensor counterclockwise to +25 |5° and turn the right AOA sensor clockwise to +25 |5°. 1) Make sure that the slats do not move.
(c)
Push and hold the NOSE SENSING test switch (E-11 landing gear logic shelf). 1) Make sure that the slats move to the full extend position. 2) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on each ASC comes on. 3) Make sure that the LE FLAPS EXT light goes off. 4) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light comes on.

(d) Release the NOSE SENSING test switch.
1) Make sure that the slats move to the (intermediate) extend
position.
2) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on each ASC is off.
3) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off.
4) Make sure that the FLAPS EXT light comes on.
(e) Turn the right AOA sensor counterclockwise to -25 |5°.
(f) Open the AUTOSLAT NO. 1 AC circuit breaker on the P6 panel.
1) Make sure that the PWR OK light on ASC 1 is off.
(g) Push the master caution RECALL button.
1) Make sure that the AUTOSLAT FAIL light, the MASTER CAUTION
light, and the FLT CONT light are on.
(h) Push the master caution RESET button.
1) Make sure that the AUTOSLAT FAIL light, the MASTER CAUTION
light, and the FLT CONT light are off.
(i) Push and hold the GROUND SENSING test switch (E-11 shelf).
1) Make sure that the slats do not move.
2) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on ASC 1 is off.
(j) Close the AUTOSLAT NO. 1 AC circuit breaker on the P6 panel.
1) Make sure that the PWR OK light and the AUTO EXT light on
ASC 1 are on.
2) Make sure that the LE FLAPS EXT light goes off.
3) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light comes on.
4) Make sure that the slats move to the full extend position.
(k) Push and hold the NOSE SENSING and AIR SENSING test switches
(E-11 shelf).
1) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off.
2) Make sure that the LE FLAPS EXT light comes on.
(l) Release the AIR SENSING and GROUND SENSING test switches.
1) Make sure that in approximately 12 seconds, the LE FLAPS
EXT light goes off and the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light comes on.
(m) Turn the left AOA sensor clockwise to -25 |5°.
1) Make sure that the slats move to the (intermediate) extend
position.
2) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off.
3) Make sure that the LE FLAPS EXT light comes on.
(n) Release the NOSE SENSING test switch.
(o) Turn the left AOA sensor counterclockwise to +25 |5° and turn
the right AOA sensor clockwise to +25 |5°.
1) Make sure that the slats do not move.
2) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on each ASC is off.
(p) Push and hold the NOSE SENSING test switch.
1) Make sure that the slats move to the full extend position.
2) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on each ASC is on.
3) Make sure that the LE FLAPS EXT light goes off.
4) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light comes on.
(q) Release the NOSE SENSING test switch.
1) Make sure that the slats move to the (intermediate) extend
position.
2) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on each ASC is off.
3) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off.
