Turn the left AOA sensor clockwise to its lower stop.

Push the RESET button on each ASC.

Make sure that all ALPHA COMPARE lights on each ASC are off.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE TE FLAPS
_______ AND THE LE FLAPS AND SLATS DURING THE STEPS THAT FOLLOW. THE LE SLATS WILL AUTOMATICALLY EXTEND AND RETRACT. FAST MOVEMENT OF THE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Supply hydraulic power to system B (Ref 27-81-00/201).

Do a check of the autoslat computer self-test:

 (a)  
Move the flap control lever to 1-unit detent.

 (b)  
Make sure that the TE flaps move to the 1-unit position and that the LE flaps and slats move to the (intermediate) extend position.

 (c)  
Move the flap control lever to the 15-unit detent.

 (d)  
Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on each ASC comes on for 1.5 to 2.0 seconds as the TE flaps move from the 10-unit to the 15-unit position.

 (e)  
Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent.

P6 Panel
 1) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS

 Turn the left AOA sensor counterclockwise to its stop.

 Turn the right AOA sensor clockwise to its stop.

 If you replaced ASC 1, do this check of the air/ground inputs:

 (a)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6 Panel
 a) AUTOSLAT NO. 2 DC


 (b)  
Push and hold the NOSE SENSING test switch on the E-11 landing gear logic shelf. 1) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on ASC 1 comes on. 2) Make sure that the LE slats move to the full extend

 position. 3) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light (center instrument panel) comes on.

 (c)  
Push and hold the AIR SENSING test switch (E-11 shelf). 1) Make sure that the LE FLAPS EXT light (center instrument

 panel) comes on. 2) Make sure that the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off.

 (d)  
Release the NOSE SENSING and AIR SENSING test switches. 1) Make sure that the AUTO EXT light on ASC 1 goes off. 2) Make sure that the LE slats retract to the (intermediate)

 extend position.

 (e)  
Push the master caution RECALL button.
 1) Make sure that the AUTOSLAT FAIL light comes on.


 (f)  
Push the master caution RESET button.
 1) Make sure that the AUTOSLAT FAIL light goes off.


 (g)  
Close this circuit breaker:


 1)  P6 Panel
 a) AUTOSLAT NO. 2 DC
