Remove the auxiliary track seal door for the slats 2, 3, 4 and 5 (Detail A and B):

 (a)  
Hold the seal door while you remove the bolts that attach the hinge assembly to the fixed leading edge.

 (b)  
Remove the seal door.

Remove the auxiliary track seal door for the slats 1 and 6 (middle and inboard positions) (Detail C):

 (a)  
Remove the nut, bolt, spacer, and washers that attach each spring to the seal door.

 (1)  
Install the auxiliary track seal door for slats 2, 3, 4 and 5 (Detail A and B):

 (a)  
Put the seal door and the shims in the correct positions.

 1)  If it is necessary, remove a lamination from the shims to attach the seal door correctly to the top panel.

 2)  Apply primer to the shims before the last installation.
 (b)  Install the bolts that attach the seal door hinge assembly to the fixed leading edge.

 (2)  
Install the auxiliary track seal door for the slats 1 and 6 (mid and inboard positions) (Detail C):

 (a)  
Install the torsion springs:

 1)  Attach each spring to the seal door guide and spacer with the nut, bolt, spacer and washers.

 (b)  
Move the door in the seal guide and spacer.

 (c)  
Attach each spring to the seal door with the nut, bolt, spacer, dimpled washer, and washers.

 (d)  
Make sure there is a 0.08 inch minimum overlap between the top of the skin cutout and the top edge of the seal door.

 NOTE: The seal doors must move freely.

 E.  Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  Install the access panels.

 WARNING: CAREFULLY REMOVE THE LEADING EDGE SLAT ACTUATOR LOCKOUT SET.
_______ THE LEADING EDGE SLATS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  
Remove the leading edge slat actuator lockout set from the actuators of the leading edge slats (Ref 27-81-00/201).

 (3)  
Put the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent to fully retract the leading edge devices.
