WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE WING
_______ LEADING EDGE. THE LEADING EDGE IS POWERED BY SYSTEM A PRESSURE THROUGH THE PTU FOR ALL TRAILING EDGE EXTEND POSITIONS WHEN SYSTEM B IS DEPRESSURIZED AND THE MAIN OR NOSE GEAR AIR/GROUND SWITCH SENSES AIR MODE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE INBOARD FAN DUCT COWL AND THE THRUST REVERSERS
_______ ARE CLOSED OR REMOVED BEFORE YOU EXTEND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS. FAILURE TO CLOSE OR REMOVE THE FAN DUCT COWL AND THE THRUST REVERSERS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

E. Do a Test of the Leading Edge Flap and Slat Position Indicators

(1)
Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent.
(a)
Make sure that each flap and slat is in the up position and aligned with the wing structure.
(b)
Make sure that all the leading edge flap lights on the center main panel and the aft overhead annunciator panel are off.
(c)
Push the test switch below the leading edge devices annunciator on the aft overhead panel.
(d)
Make sure all the lights are on (10 amber and 16 green lights).
(e)
Release the test switch for the leading edge devices annunciator.
(f)
Make sure all the lights go off.

Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent.
(a)
While the trailing edge flaps start to extend, make sure the amber LE FLAPS TRANSIT light on the main center panel comes on.
(b)
When each flap and slat starts to extend, make sure the TRANSIT amber lights on the overhead annunciator come on.
(c)
Do these checks when the leading edge flaps are fully extended: 1) Make sure the annunciator TRANSIT lights go off. 2) Make sure the FULL EXT green lights come on.
(d)
Do these checks when the leading edge slats are at the extended position: 1) Make sure the annunciator TRANSIT lights go off. 2) Make sure all six slat EXT green lights come on.
(e)
Do these checks when all the flap and slat green lights are on: 1) Make sure the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off. 2) Make sure the LE FLAPS EXT light, on the main center panel,
