INSTALL THE BOLT WITH 2 BEJ 061, 062; THE HEAD INBOARD
INSTALL THE BOLT WITH THE HEAD INBOARD ON LE FLAP NO. 2 AND 3.
BEJ 063-999;
INSTALL THE BOLT WITH THE HEAD INBOARD ON LE FLAP NO. 2 AND
OUTBOARD ON LE FLAP NO. 3.

Remove the bolt that attaches the actuator to the leading edge flap.

Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent to retract the actuator.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system B and standby system: "Leading Edge Flaps and Slats Hydraulic Systems A, B and Standby Depressurization" (Ref 27-81-00/201).

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system B reservoir: "Hydraulic Reservoir Depressurization" (Ref 29-09-00/201).

Remove the Leading Edge Flap Actuator
S 024-008
(1)
Remove the actuator:
(a)
Remove the lockwire.
(b)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the support bracket.
(c)
Install the plugs in the hydraulic lines.
(d)
Seal all the ports with caps.
(e)
Remove the bolt that attaches the actuator to the support fitting.
(f)
Remove the actuator.

Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the actuator.

(3)
Install the plugs in the hydraulic lines.
S 434-025
(4)
Seal all the ports with caps.

Install the Leading Edge Flap Actuator

Do this task if you install used bearings, bushings, or bolts: "Leading Edge Flap Actuator Inspection/Check" (Ref 27-81-31/601).

Make sure that the length of the replacement actuator is
14.890 inches.
S 424-011
(3)
Install the actuator:
(a)
Remove the plugs and caps.
(b)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the actuator.
