(d) Turn the piston rod end to adjust the clearance between the spoiler and the flap.
NOTE: Each 1/6 turn of the actuator piston rod will change the

(e)
Clean all grease from the piston rod and the rod end threads with solvent, Series 88 (AMM 20-30-88/201).
(f)
Apply a layer of the corrosion preventive compound to the threads of the piston rod end.
(g)
Engage the locking key with the piston rod.
(h)
Tighten the checknut to 100-200 pound-inches.
(i)
Apply a bead of sealant to the rod end checknut.
(j)
Supply the system A hydraulic power (Ref 27-62-00/201).
(k)
Lower the spoilers or retract the flaps.
(l)
Make sure the clearance between the spoiler and the flap is in the tolerance.
(m)
Lift the spoiler or extend the flaps to get access to the actuator.
(n)
Remove the hydraulic power (Ref 27-62-00/201).
(o)
Tighten the checknut to 290-410 pound-inches.
(p)
Install the lockwire on the checknut and the locking key.
(q)
Apply a bead of sealant to the area around the checknut and lockwire.
