 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU SET THE LOWER AUXILIARY TRACK SUPPORTS TO THE
_______ HIGH SIDE. THIS IS TO PREVENT THE SLAT UPPER TRAILING EDGE AND/OR THE FIXED LEADING EDGE FROM DAMAGE DURING THE SLAT RETRACTION.
 (7)  
Adjust the forward lower auxiliary track support (initial adjustment):

 (a)  
Loosen the nut.

 CAUTION:_______ YOU CAN TELL IF YOU HAVE LOADED TOO MANY SHIMS IF THE
 AUXILIARY TRACK CLEVIS IS ABOVE THE FORWARD FLANGE OF THE
 LOWER FORWARD SUPPORT FITTING.  THIS IS TO PREVENT THE

 FORWARD AUXILIARY TRACK CLEVIS FROM DAMAGE.
 (b)  
If it is necessary install below the forward auxiliary track clevis, three laminated shims (equal to 0.186 inch total thickness maximum), or five laminated shims (equal to 0.310 inch total thickness maximum) in the lower forward support fitting with taller forward flange.

 (c)  
Tighten the nut to 160-240 pound-inches.

 (8)  
Adjust the aft lower auxiliary track support (initial adjustment):

 (a)  
Loosen the bolt of the upper aft auxiliary track support.

 (b)  
Loosen the jamnut.

 (c)  
Loosen the lock bolt and nut until the tapered lock is free (approximately one turn).

 (d)  
Extend the aft auxiliary track clevis (not fully) with the adjustable nut.

 (e)  
Make sure there is a clearance between the slat trailing edge and the fixed leading edge in the retracted position.

 (f)  
Tighten the jamnut and nut on the lock bolt finger-tight.

 WARNING:_______CAREFULLY REMOVE THE LEADING EDGE FLAP ACTUATOR LOCKS. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (9)  Remove the leading edge flap actuator locks from all the leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
 SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER.  AILERONS, RUDDERS,
 ELEVATORS, TRAILING EDGE FLAPS, LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS,
 SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY
 WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER.  THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO
 PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE INBOARD AND OUTBOARD FAN DUCT COWLS AND THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS ARE CLOSED OR REMOVED BEFORE YOU EXTEND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AN SLATS. THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE FOR THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS TO EXTEND IF THE INBOARD AND OUTBOARD FAN DUCT COWLS AND THE THRUST REVERSERS ARE IN THE OPEN (MAINTENANCE) POSITION. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (10) Pressurize hydraulic system B (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THERE IS SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE DURING THE OPERATION OF
_______ THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS. IF THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE, DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (11)
 Make sure the flap nose does not hit the structure and equipment on retraction.

 Move the flap control lever to the FLAPS UP position and make sure the slats move to the fully retracted position.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU RELEASE THE PRESSURE FROM THE HYDRAULIC
_______ SYSTEM WHEN YOU DO THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE LEADING EDGE SLATS. WITH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURIZE, THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN MOVE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (13) Release the pressure from hydraulic system B (Ref 27-81-00/201).
