D. Do a Test on the Leading Edge Flaps and Slats

(1)
Do a test of the leading edge flaps and slats:
(a)
Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent position. 1) Make sure that each flap and slat is in the UP position. 2) Make sure that each flap and slat aligns with the wing
structure.
3) Make sure all the leading edge flap lights on the center instrument panel and on the aft overhead annunciator panel are off.
4) On the aft overhead annunicator panel, push the TEST
switch. 5) Make sure all the green and amber lights come on. 6) Release the TEST switch. 7) Make sure all the green and amber lights go off. 8) Do a test on the leading edge flap lights on the center
instrument panel. 9) Make sure each light comes on when pushed and goes off when release.
(b) Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent position.
1) When the trailing edge flaps move from the FLAP UP position, make sure the amber LE FLAPS TRANSIT light (on the center instrument panel) comes on.
2) While each flap and slat starts to extend, make sure the related amber TRANSIT light on the annunciator panel comes on.
3) When the flaps fully extend and the slats extend to the intermediate position, look at the annunciator panel. a) Make sure the related amber TRANSIT light goes off. b) Make sure the related green EXT light comes on.
4) When the last flap and slat extend to the 1-unit detent position, look at the center instrument panel. a) Make sure the amber LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off. b) Make sure the green LE FLAPS EXT light comes on.
(c)
Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent.
1) Make sure there is no change in the position of the leading edge device or the indicator lights.
(d)
Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent.
1) While all the slats start to extend from the intermediate position, look at the annunciator panel. a) Make sure the related amber TRANSIT light comes on. b) Make sure the related EXT green light goes off.
2) While the slats start to extend, look at the center instrument panel. a) Make sure the green LE FLAPS EXT light goes off. b) Make sure the amber LE FLAPS INTRANSIT light comes on.

3) When the slats lock in the fully extended position, look at the annunciator panel. a) Make sure the related amber TRANSIT light goes off. b) Make sure the green FULL EXT light comes on.
4) When the last slat is at the fully extended position, look at the center instrument panel. a) Make sure the amber LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off. b) Make sure the green LE FLAPS EXT light comes on.
Extend the trailing edge flaps to the 40-unit position.Retract the trailing edge flaps to the 10-unit position. 1) Make sure there is no change in the position of the leading
edge device or the indicator lights.Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent. 1) While all the slats start to retract from the full extend
position, look at the annunciator panel.
a) Make sure the related FULL EXT light goes off.
b) Make sure the related amber TRANSIT light comes on.
2) While the slats start to retract, look at the center instrument panel. a) Make sure the green LE FLAPS EXT light goes off. b) Make sure the amber LE FLAPS TRANSIT light comes on.
3) When the slats are at the intermediate position, look at the annunciator panel. a) Make sure the related amber TRANSIT Light goes off. b) Make sure the related green EXT light comes on.
4) Look at the center instrument panel. a) Make sure the amber LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off. b) Make sure the green LE FLAPS EXT light comes on.
Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent.
1) Make sure there is no change in the position of the leading
