Put the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent.
(a)
While the flaps and slats retract, make sure the amber TRANSIT lights come on.
(b)
Do these checks when the flaps and slats are fully retracted: 1) Make sure the amber TRANSIT lights go off.
NOTE: The amber indicator lights can come on if the slats
____ are extended and hydraulic pressure is removed. The lights must operate as specified when you supply hydraulic power to system B.
2) Make sure no green lights come on.
D. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Release pressure from hydraulic system B (Ref 27-81-00/201).
(2)
Remove electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the flaps 10-degree switch (S584).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) FLAP SHUTOFF VALVE

Use the wrench set to remove the flaps 10-degree switch.

Remove the switch (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the switch cover from the flap control unit.
(b)
Remove the switch leads for the connector.
(c)
Remove the pin to release the roller guide.
(d)
Remove the retainer nut from the switch.
(e)
Remove the switch from the flap control unit.

Use the wrench set to install the flaps 10-degree switch.

Install the switch (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the switch in the flap control unit.
(b)
Install the retainer nut and roller guide.
(c)
Install the pin.
(d)
Install the switch leads in the connector.
(e)
Connect the switch leads to the receptacle.
(f)
Install the switch cover.
