 (4)  Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent. (a) Do these checks while the trailing edge flaps extend to the 10 units position: 1) Make sure the LE FLAPS EXT light goes off. 2) Make sure the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light comes on. (b) Do these checks while the slats 1 thru 6 start to extend: 1) Make sure the slat EXT green lights go off. 2) Make sure the slat TRANSIT lights come on. (c) Do these checks when the slats are fully extended: 1) Make sure the slat TRANSIT lights go off. 2) Make sure the slat FULL EXT green lights come on. (d) Do these checks when all the annunciator green lights are on: 1) Make sure the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes off. 2) Make sure the LE FLAPS EXT light comes on.

 (5)  Move the flap control lever to the 40-unit detent.

 (6)  Move the flap control lever back to the 10-unit detent. (a) Make sure there is no change in the position of the leading edge devices or the indicator lights.

 (7)  Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent. (a) While the slats retract to the intermediate position, make sure the amber TRANSIT lights come on. (b) Do these checks when the slats are at the intermediate position: 1) Make sure the slat TRANSIT lights go off. 2) Make sure the slat EXT lights come on.

 (8)  Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent. (a) Make sure there is no change in the positions of the leading edge devices or the indicator lights.

Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent.

 (a)  
Do these checks when each leading edge device is at the up position: 1) Make sure the amber TRANSIT lights go off.


 NOTE: The amber indicator lights can come on if the slats
____ are extended and the hydraulic pressure is removed. The lights must operate as specified when you supply hydraulic power to system B.
 2) Make sure no green lights come on.
 F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Release pressure from hydraulic system B (Ref 27-81-00/201).

Remove electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 LEADING EDGE FLAP AND SLAT PROXIMITY SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are four tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the leading edge slat proximity sensor. There is also a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the leading edge flap proximity sensor.
 B.  Each leading edge flap and slat proximity sensor and its support bracket are removed and installed as a unit.
