LEADING EDGE SLAT UP SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. The leading edge slat up switch is installed in the inner bullnose of the fixed leading edge. There is one slat up switch for each leading edge slat. When the leading edge slat is retracted, a magnet on the inner cove of the slat actuates the switch to the open position. When the slat is extended, the magnet moves with the slat and away from the switch and causes the switch to close.
B. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the slat up switch on the leading edge slat.

Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent to fully extend the flaps and slats.
