(e) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel
a) PTU/LG BYP V CONT 1
b) PTU/LG BYP V CONT 2
2) P6-11 Circuit Breaker Panel
a) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL
b) ELEC HYD PUMP SYS B
3) P6-12 Circuit Breaker Panel
a) STBY HYD PUMP (ALT)
(f) Make sure the ELEC 1, HYD PUMPS B switch on the captain's
overhead panel is in OFF position.
(g) Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the ELEC 1, HYD PUMPS B switch.
(h) Put the ENG 2 HYD PUMPS B switch (P5 panel) in the OFF
position.
(i) Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the ENG 2 HYD PUMPS switch.
(j) Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the system B ground
pressurization module in the rear end of the forward right hand
air conditioning compartment (next to the wheel well/forward
end).
(k) Install the lock on the standby hydraulic module (Fig. 201):
1) Make sure the override lever at the leading edge devices
shutoff valve is in position 1.
2) Install the lock on the shutoff valve.
3) Install the lockpin.
(l) Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(m) Set the alternate flap arm switch to ARM.
(n) Extend the trailing edge flaps in the alternate (fully
electric) mode with the steps that follow:

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
_______ LEADING EDGE CONTROL SURFACES. THE LEADING EDGE CONTROL SURFACES CAN EXTEND AND RETRACT QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE INBOARD AND OUTBOARD FAN DUCT COWLS AND
_______ THE THRUST REVERSERS ARE CLOSED OR REMOVED IF YOU NEED TO EXTEND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS. THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE FOR THE FLAPS AND SLATS TO EXTEND IF THE INBOARD AND OUTBOARD FAN DUCT COWLS AND THE THRUST REVERSERS ARE IN THE OPEN (MAINTENANCE) POSITION. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
1) Move the flap control lever to the FLAP DOWN (40-unit) detent and make sure the trailing edge flap position agrees with the flap control lever detent.
NOTE: The flap control lever is moved to the flap detent
____ that is the same as the trailing edge flap position. This is to prevent accidental trailing edge flap movement when the hydraulic system is pressurized.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE ALTERNATE FLAP DRIVE UNIT IS KEPT TO A
_______ LIMIT OF 4 MINUTES OPERATION AND 25 MINUTES OFF. THIS WILL PREVENT THE ALTERNATE FLAP DRIVE UNIT FROM DAMAGE.
2) Set the alternate flap control switch to the DOWN position. Hold the switch in this position until trailing edge flaps extend.
(o) Retract the trailing edge flaps in the alternate (fully electric) mode with the steps that follow: 1) Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP position and
make sure the trailing edge flap position agrees with the flap control lever detent.
NOTE: The flap control lever is moved to the flap detent
____ that is the same as the trailing edge flap position. This is to prevent accidental flap movement when the hydraulic system is pressurized.

2) Set the alternate flap control switch to the UP position. Hold the switch in this position until the trailing edge flap motor stops.
NOTE: Retraction of the trailing edge flaps is controlled____
by a limit switch.
(p) Set the alternate flap control switch to OFF.
(q) Set the alternate flap arm switch to OFF.
