LEADING EDGE FLAP ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the actuator of the leading edge flap. The procedure has these tasks:
(1)
The removal of the actuator from the leading edge flap
(2)
The removal of the actuator
(3)
The installation of the actuator
(4)
The installation of the actuator to the leading edge flap.

Prepare for Removal
S 864-002
(1)
Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system B: "Leading Edge Flaps and Slats Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization" (Ref 27-81-00/201).

(2)
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
PTU circuit breakers C1081 and C1085.

(3) Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent to extend the leading edge flaps.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE LEADING EDGE FLAP AND SLAT LOCKS. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Do this task to install the leading edge flap actuator lock on the adjacent actuator: "Leading Edge Flap and Slat Locks Installation" (Ref 27-81-00/201).
