Procedure
S 424-002
(1)
Install the control valve:
(a)
Lubricate the O-ring with hydraulic fluid or assembly lube.
(b)
Install the union and the O-ring in each port of the control valve.
(c)
Carefully install the control valve in the flap control unit.
(d)
Install the four bolts.

Tighten the bolts.

Install lockwire.
(g)
Remove the caps from the ports and plugs from the hydraulic lines.
(h)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the control valve.
(i)
Connect the rod end to the link assembly.

Put the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent to extend the leading edge flaps and slats.

Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent to retract the flaps and slats.

Examine the hydraulic lines at the control valve for leakage.

Adjust and do a test of the control valve (Ref 27-81-81/501).

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Release pressure from hydraulic system B (Ref 27-81-00/201).
(2)
Fill the hydraulic reservoirs if it is necessary (Ref 12-12-00/301).
(3)
Install the lower pan on the flap control unit.
