 (d)  If it is necessary, adjust the detent arm torsion to a load of 50 pounds (22.68 Kgms) +/-5 pounds (2.268 Kgms) at the auxiliary track locations with the steps that follow: 1) Move the flap control lever to the FLAPS UP position to
 retract the slats.
 2)  Install a dummy weight of 50 pounds (22.68 kgms) +/- 5 pounds (2.268 kgms) on the detent arm cam plate as shown in Fig. 506, View C-C.
 NOTE: The initial torsion rod load adjustment on each slat
____ must be in the limit of 3.0 pounds of each other. You can increase the load to a limit of 50 pounds
 (22.68 kgms) +/- 5 pounds (2.268 kgms).
 3)  With the dummy weight installed, turn the torsion rod bolt (at the other end of the torsion rod opposite to the detent arm/torsion rod connection) until you get a clearance of
 0.1 inch (2.54 mm) between the stop and the lower edge inside the slot of the detent arm.
 4)  Remove the dummy weight from the detent arm cam plate after you have adjusted the load.
 (e)  Install a lockwire on the torsion rod screw.

 Do a check of the distance between the slat upper trailing edge to the fixed leading edge.

Set the aft lower auxiliary track support adjustment again if it is necessary (Fig. 505).

 (52) AIRPLANES WITH SPRING-LOADED SLAT END SEALS; Adjust the seals (Fig. 505).
 (a)  Make sure you follow the safety warnings and cautions, and you
 complete the steps for the removal/installation of actuator
 locks, and the steps for applying/releasing hydraulic pressure
 before you cycle the slats in subsequent steps per AMM
 27-81-00/201.
 (b)  Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP position.
 (c)  Make sure the leading edge slats fully retract.
 (d)  Make marks on the spring-loaded seal to find the seal location
