 2)  Loosen the down-stop adjustment bolt and rotate the main track down-stops to the flat stop surface that let you set the correct clearances, and/or turn the adjustment nut of each aft auxiliary track an additional maximum of one (1) turn, as viewed looking down.
 NOTE: If the adjustment nut of the aft auxiliary track
____ was already turned an additional one (1) maximum turn for cruise position adjustment, then no additional adjustment turns are permitted.
 3)  Make sure you get the correct clearances as shown in Table II (View C-C, Fig. 505), and in View B-B (Detail "D", Fig. 505): a) Do the down-stop adjustment several times, if
 necessary, until you get the permitted clearances.
 4)  Apply locking compound sealer to the down-stop bolt threads after you completed the adjustment of the main track down-stops.

 5) Hold the bolthead while you tighten the nut to 50-75 pound-inches. 6) Tighten the upper aft auxiliary track support bolt.

 At all the slat positions, make sure the clearances and the surfaces align to the specified tolerance.

 (a)  
Use a sufficient quantity of adhesive to make a 0.12 inch adhesive fillet around the upstop.


 NOTE: Do not apply the adhesive directly to the shim faying
____ surfaces, or the faying surfaces on the upstop and rib.
 (b)  Tighten the fastener to 90-100 pound-inches before the adhesive is dry.

 Make sure the clearances between the slat proximity sensors and the slat auxiliary track targets are correct and adjust any out of adjustment clearance if necessary (AMM 27-88-11/401).
