(2) Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent to extend the leading edge flaps.

WARNING: CAREFULLY INSTALL THE LEADING EDGE FLAP ACTUATOR LOCKS TO
_______ PREVENT ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Install the leading edge flap actuator locks on the actuators of the leading edge flaps (Ref 27-81-00/201).

Release the pressure from hydraulic system B (Ref 27-81-00/201).

Remove the cam roller.

Disconnect the link assembly from the lever assembly (Detail B).

Hold the seal door up.

Remove the spring load (from the inboard and outboard spring) (Fig. 201):
(a)
Remove three bolts from the support plate.
(b)
Install the steel pin in the support plate.
(c)
Use an open end wrench to turn the support plate.
(d)
Turn the support plate in the direction of the preload arrow until the steel pin touches the top of the spring.
NOTE: The steel pin must be installed in the support plate to
____ hold the spring in the tension position without the stop bracket.
(e)
Disengage the spring from the stop bracket.
(f)
Turn the support plate in the opposite direction from the preload arrow until you can install the 3/16-inch bolts in the support plate.
(g)
Tighten the bolts to 20-25 pound-inches.
(h)
Remove the steel pin.

Remove the bolt from the collar found on the outboard end of the seal door shaft.

Remove the collar from the seal door shaft (Section C-C).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEVER
_______ ASSEMBLY WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SHAFT FROM THE SEAL DOOR. THE LEVER ASSEMBLY CAN MOVE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SHAFT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Pull the seal door shaft out of the seal door.

Put the spring on the sleeve (Section C-C).
