Remove the flap alternate drive unit (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector from the alternate drive unit.

 (b)  
Remove the bonding jumper from the alternate drive unit.

 (c)  
Remove the mounting bolts that attach the alternate drive unit to the flap power unit.

 (d)  
Remove the alternate drive unit.

Do this task to fill the flap alternate drive unit: "Lubricate Trailing Edge Flap Drive System" (Ref 12-22-51/301).

Apply a layer of the primer in the mounting holes on the flap power unit and on the flap alternate drive unit.

 (3)  
Apply a thin layer of the grease to the full length of the output shaft on the alternate drive unit.

 (4)  
Apply a thin layer of the grease to the input shaft on the flap power unit.

 (5)  
Install the flap alternate drive unit on the flap power unit (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Put the alternate drive unit on the flap power unit.

 (b)  
Install the mounting bolts on the alternate drive unit.

 (c)  
Install the bonding jumper on the alternate drive unit.

 (d)  
Connect the electrical connector to the alternate drive unit.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
