Procedure

(1)
Install the flap angle gearbox:
(a)
Put the gearbox in its positionon the landing gear beam.
(b)
Install the three bolts, washers and locknuts.
S 434-009
(2)
Connect the torque tubes to the flap angle gearbox:
(a)
Apply a layer of the grease to the couplings.
(b)
Engage the coupling sleeves with the couplings on the gearbox.
(c)
Install the three screws to attach the sleeve to the coupling.
(d)
Install the lockwire on the screws.
(e)
Remove the support from the flaps.

(3) S 864-010Supply the hydraulic system B power (Ref 27-51-00/201).
(4) S 714-011Move the flap control lever to move the flaps. (a) Make sure the flap angle gearbox operates correctly.
(5) S 864-012Put the flap control lever to the UP position to retract the flaps.
(6) S 864-013Remove the hydraulic system B power (Ref 27-51-00/201).

Prepare to Remove the Transmission

Supply the system B hydraulic power (Ref 27-51-00/201).

Move the flap control lever to the UP detent to retract the flaps.

Remove the system B hydraulic power (Ref 27-51-00/201).

Remove the fairing or the access panel to get access to the transmission (Fig. 401):
(a)
For the outboard flap transmissions, remove the forward flap track fairing.
(b)
For the inboard flap outboard transmission, remove the access panels from the flap track fairing: 1) Remove the access panels from the top surface of the flap
track fairing. 2) Remove the wing trailing edge access panel on each side of the flap track fairing.
(c)
For the inboard flap inboard transmission, remove the fairing (Ref/27-51-32/401).
