Install the flap hydraulic motor and the flap alternate drive unit on the flap power unit (Fig. 401):
(a)
Apply a thin layer of the grease to the splines on the output shaft on the drive motors.
(b)
Attach the flap hydraulic motor to the flap power unit with the four mounting bolts.
(c)
Attach the flap alternate drive unit to the flap power unit with the three mounting bolts.

Install the flap power unit (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the flap power unit in its position on the support bracket.
(b)
Install the mounting bolts to attach the flap power unit.
(c)
Install the bonding jumper between the flap alternate drive unit and the mounting bracket.

Turn the output shafts on the flap power unit until the marks on the shaft and shaft retainer align in the limit of 0.03 inch.

Connect the hydraulic lines to the flap hydraulic drive motor:
(a)
Remove the plugs from the hydraulic lines and the ports.
(b)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the flap hydraulic motor.

(5) Make sure the rig pin F-1 is installed in the flap control unit (Fig. 402).
