Apply a 30 pound force up against a 4.0 x 6.0 inch minimum aluminum plate at the aft edge of the aftflap near the rigging beam.
(d)
Make sure the aftflap flight rollers touch the flap track.

(e) Measure and write down the distance between the trailing edge of the aftflap and the WCP.
(2) S 034-002Do this task: "Outboard Flap Removal" (AMM 27-51-34/401).
(3) S 034-003Do this task "Transmission Removal" (AMM 27-51-71/401).
(4) S 034-004Do this task: "Outboard Foreflap Sequence Carriage Removal" (AMM 27-51-47/401).

Remove the flap track (Fig. 401):
(a)
If you will install the same flap track and the tapered shim , do the steps that follow: 1) If the shim is damaged, make a replacement shim with the
same measurements as the damaged shim. 2) If the shim is not there, use the measurements shown on the decal to make a replacement shim.
NOTE: The decal is on the rear spar, adjacent to the
____ flap track.
(b) Remove the bolts from the aft track support fitting.
1) Make sure you do not cause damage to the anti-fret strip or the tapered shim when you remove the track.
NOTE: The anti-fret strip is bonded to the lower wing
____ surface. The tapered shim is bonded to the top surface of the flap track.
(c)
Measure and write down the thickness of the anti-fret strip.
(d)
Remove the bolt that attaches the flap track to the forward support fitting.
(e)
Remove the flap track from the airplane.
NOTE: The flap track weighs approximately 110 pounds.
