Do this task to remove the main gear ground lock pin from the applicable landing gear: "Ground Lock Assembly Removal" (Ref 32-00-01/201).

 (f)  
Move the landing gear control lever to the up position.

 (g)  
Measure the clearance between the fairing and the shock strut door.

 (h)  
Move the landing gear control lever to extend the landing gear.

 (i)  
Do this task: "Ground Lock Assembly Installation"
 (Ref 32-00-01/201).


 (j)  
Adjust the fairing forward or aft if it is necessary.

 (k)  
Do this task to depressurize the hydraulic system and remove the hydraulic test bench: "Depressurize Hydraulic Systems A, B, or Standby" (Ref 29-15-00/201).

 (l)  
Do this task: "Depressurize Pneumatic System"
 (Ref 36-05-00/201).


 (m)  
Do this task: "Remove External Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (n)  
Do this task: "Lower Airplane" (Ref 07-11-11/201).

 (4)  
Measure the distance the fairing and the adjacent surfaces are not aligned.

 (a)
The distance the surfaces are not aligned must be less than


 0.03 inch.
 (b)  Adjust the fairing if it is necessary.
 S 825-009
 (5)  
Move the fairing forward or aft if it is necessary:

 (a)  
Remove the cotter pin from the fairing retaining nut (2).

 (b)  
Loosen the fairing retaining nut (2) and the checknuts (7).

 (c)  
Turn the fairing support pin to move the fairing forward or aft.

 (d)  
Tighten the fairing retaining nut (2) and the checknuts (7).

 (e)  
Install the cotter pin on the fairing retaining nut (2).

 (6)  
Move the fairing horizontally or vertically if it is necessary:

 (a)  
Loosen the clamping bolts (5) to permit movement of the serrated plates (8).


 NOTE: Use the serrated plates at the forward location for
____ vertical adjustment. Use the serrated plates at the aft location for horizontal adjustment.
 (b)  
Move the fairing until it is aligned with the adjacent structure.

 (c)  
Tighten clamping bolts (5).

 (7)  
Align the fairing and remove the stress if it is necessary:

 (a)  
Loosen the seal at the inboard forward side of the fairing.

 (b)  
Loosen the nuts (3) until that the flanges on the eccentric bushings (4) will not touch the stop pins.

 (c)  
Turn the eccentric bushings (4) to align the two ends of the fairing and to remove all stress in the fairing.

 (d)  
Engage the flanges of the eccentric bushings (4) with the stop pins.

 (e)  
Tighten the nuts (3).

 (8)  
Adjust the midflap seal plate (Ref 27-51-29/401).

 D.
Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  Do this task: "Trailing Edge Flap System Activation"
 (Ref 27-51-00/201).

 1.  General_______
 A. There are two tasks in this procedure: There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the outboard trailing edge flap.
 (1)  
The removal procedure has these parts:

 (a)  
The extension of the outboard spoilers

 (b)
