 1)  Make sure the flaps are in the fully retracted position.
 2)  Put the inboard flap rigging beam on the black stripes on the front and rear spars at WBL 147.200.
 NOTE: If the black stripes are not on the airplane,
____ make 0.25 inch stripes (Refer to tool drawing F80209).
 3)  Install a support on the flap track to hold it in its position.
 4)  Remove the bolts that attach the flap track to the aft support fitting.
 5)  Make sure the aftflap deadweight rollers touch the flap track.
 6)  Move the flap track until the trailing edge of the aftflap is not more than +/- 0.25 inch from the wing chord plane (WCP).
 7)  Put the tapered shim between the wing and the flap track and turn it to fill the clearance.
 8)  Make a mark on the shim to show the location of the bolt holes and remove the shim.
 9)  Remove the inboard flap rigging beam.
 10) Temporarily install the bolts that attach the flap track to the aft support fitting.
 11) Remove the support from the flap track.
 12) Cut the tapered shim to the correct dimension and drill the bolt holes.
Do this task: "Inboard Flap Removal" (AMM 27-51-04/401).

 (f)  
Remove the nuts, bolts, bushings, and spacers and remove the flap track.

 (g)  
Make a pressure plate from 0.50 inch minimum aluminum alloy plate.


 NOTE: You can use the same pressure plate from the anti-fret
____ strips on the lower surface of the wing.
 1)  Drill three holes in the pressure plate to align with the holes in the wing surface.
 (h)  
Use the sealant to bond the tapered shim to the top surface of the flap track.

 (i)  
Install the pressure plate with three 7/16-inch diameter bolts.


 NOTE: Tighten the nuts before the work life of the sealant is
____
 expired.

 1)  Tighten the nuts to 360-420 pound-inches.
 CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL THE FLAP TRACK UNTIL THE SEALANT IS CURED.
_______
 THE SEALANT CAN COME OUT OF THE SURFACE.

 (j)  
Let the sealant cure.

 (k)  
Remove the pressure plate.

 (5)  
Attach the flap track to the forward support fitting:

 (a)  
Make sure the shim is bonded to the forward support fitting.

 (b)  
Apply a thin layer of the grease to the bolts.

 (c)  
Align the flap track with the forward support fitting.

 (d)  
Install the bolts with the countersunk washers below the heads.

 (e)  
Tighten the bolt at the middle position to 900-1100
 pound-inches.


 (f)  
Install the washers and nuts on the outboard bolts.

 (g)  
Tighten the nuts to 800-1000 pound-inches.

 (h)  
Install the lockwire on the bolts if it is required.


 S 434-013
 (6)  
Make sure the bushings are installed in the wing skin at the aft support fitting.

 (a)  
If the bushings are not installed, install the bushings with the primer.


 S 424-014
 (7)  
Attach the flap track to the aft support fitting:

 (a)  
Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the bolts.

 (b)  
Align the flap track with the aft support fitting.

 (c)  
Make sure the bushings for the inboard and outboard bolts do not extend above the skin into the support fitting.

 (d)  
Install the bolts with the countersunk washers below the head.

 (e)  
Install a new torque indicating washer on the bolt in the middle position.
